Checked heater kit amps 1-37 2-33. Checked all safeties. Checked refrigerant pressures 1- 425/150. 2-350/115. Checked compressor amps 1/8.5 2-7.62. Caked outdoor fan amps 1-.85. 2-1.2. Checked dual start assembly 1-72/70. 2-45/5. Checked outdoor single start assembly 1-6.-1/7.5. 2-na Found upstairs low on charge. Customer has a leak. Found downstairs contactor assembly pitted. Found downstairs single start assembly outside below manufacture specs. Told customer every system starts the outdoor fan is getting damaged. Gave customer options to make repairs. Customer said he’s going to call his home warranty company
Arrived due to no AC. System is 2020 American Standard heat pump which services the whole home. System has EWC zoning system which allows independent control of the first and second floor. Today’s diagnostic revealed a failed voltage distribution system for the outdoor system. Component is not allowing high voltage to travel to outdoor components for operation. Informed homeowners of findings and discussed repair options. Homeowners elected to proceed with repair of the voltage distribution system. Homeowners have home warranty however could not reach the company at this time. Paid for repairs out of pocket. Removed failed component and installed new voltage distribution system and tested system operation. System is operating properly at time of departure.
