Here a two system fall maintenance performed on two heat pumps. A couple issues to report. The upstairs system has excessive dust, and dirt inside the duct. A duct cleaning is recommended, along with a better filter system that will keep the system free of dust. Also a air purification is recommended for better air quality, and to combat biological growth found inside the upstairs air handler. All amp draws are within tolerance for the upstairs system, and are as follows. Indoor fan 1.41, and as of now the builder that installed the unit never wired the auxiliary heat into the thermostat. Compressor 5.16 outdoor fan.49 dual start assembly good at 37.2/5uf. The refrigerant level is on the low side, and a picture is provided with pressure showing. Also with the age of the system my recommendation is for replacement due to age, and efficiency. Downstairs indoor fan motor 1.68 heat strip bank 1 20.92 bank 2 20.49 compressor 4.32 outdoor fan 1.14 dual start assembly is giving what it’s rate
During service call, tech diagnosed a bad blower motor. Tech manually gave blower motor 24 volts and blower motor did not respond. Motor will have to be ordered. Unit is not functioning at this time.
